By Appointment Only
Hunts are private and conducted by appointment only. The hunting season runs from mid-September through the end of March, with a 3-hour maximum hunt.

Your Own Dog
Hunters must provide their own hunting dog.
3-Hour Maximum
Each hunt is limited to 3 hours.
50% Deposit Required
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your hunt.
Required to Hunt
Hunters need a valid hunting license and must wear a hunter-orange hat.
Requirements
- Hunters must wear a hunter-orange hat.
- Massachusetts residents need a valid hunting license.
- One-day resident or non-resident commercial shooting preserve licenses are available for non-licensed hunters; a license is required for each hunting day.
- Firearms must be transported according to state regulations.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled hunt.
Deposits & Safety
- A non-refundable 50% deposit secures your hunt date.
- With 14 days' notice, the deposit may be transferred to another date. With less than 14 days' notice, it is forfeited.
- LadyWoods may cancel hunts because of unforeseen conditions or circumstances.
- LadyWoods may cancel or stop a hunt at any time because of unsafe actions or situations.
Who should I contact about regulations for transporting firearms?
Contact the appropriate state police for specifics on transporting firearms across state lines. All firearms must be transported according to state regulations.
What forms of payment does LadyWoods accept?
LadyWoods accepts checks and cash. Credit cards are not accepted.
What is the average shooting distance?
Average shots are 20–30 yards. LadyWoods recommends #7½ or #6 shot.
Do I need to bring a dog?
Yes. LadyWoods no longer offers use of its dogs and guide. Hunters are welcome with their own hunting dogs, and birds are stocked as usual.

From Providence & points south
Take Route 146 N to the Route 16 exit. Take Route 16 into Douglas. Where Route 16 takes a sharp right toward Webster, continue straight onto SW Main St. At the first four-way intersection, turn left onto Wallum Lake Rd. Number 312 is approximately 3 miles down on the left.
From Boston
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Route 146 S, then take the Route 16 exit and follow the Providence-area directions.
From Worcester & points west
Take Route 395 to the Route 16 exit. Follow Route 16, turn right onto Cedar St, and continue to the four-way intersection. Go straight onto Wallum Lake Rd. Number 312 is approximately 3 miles down on the left.
